π Octopus Level β Stroke Refinement & Butterfly Introduction
Age: 6β8 yearsβ|βPrerequisite: Swim 20 metres unaided in Freestyle and Backstroke
This level bridges the gap between Turtle and Seal, focusing on perfecting technique across three main strokes β Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breaststroke β and introducing the fourth stroke: Butterfly.
Students at this level already have a basic understanding of stroke mechanics and can swim independently. Now, the emphasis shifts to refining those skills and improving endurance, rhythm, and coordination in preparation for more advanced levels.

β
Freestyle
- Drills and corrections to improve stroke efficiency and endurance
- Focus on maintaining proper body position, breathing, and arm technique over longer distances
β

- Emphasis on smooth, continuous movement and streamlined position
β
Breaststroke
- Coordinating arm and leg actions for a complete, rhythmic stroke
- Drills to correct timing and breathing
β
